For all those wondering where I've been in the past few months. I've been working on sculpture for a new feature film, which has taken up most of my time. Because of my commitment to the production, I have held back on releasing new music until I am able to give it 100% of my focus, which will be very Very soon I promise!
Meanwhile I have been honoured to have been asked to be a panelist for the 2018 Filling The Gap Event held at the Ryerson DMZ In Toronto, Canada on March 1st. The focus of the evening was Women in Under Represented Industries and the event raised nearly $10,000 in benefit of Barbara Schlifer Commemorative Clinic (BSCC provides counselling, legal and interpretation services for women survivors of violence). I was in the company of powerful female leaders in the fields of technology, aviation, media and entertainment. We spoke about the #MeToo movement, experiences in our respective fields and took questions from the audience. It was an immensely positive, inspiring and thought provoking event, which I enjoyed very much.
I encourage you to find out more about the Filling The Gap initiative and to attend their events, which they hold quarter-annually, and to also learn about and donate to the Barbara Schlifer Commemorative Clinic . The work they do is very important to many Canadian women.
